Tolkien Sized Messages

The worst thing anyone can feel in life is overload. It sucks because it fries our brain more than it can handle. Surely, marketing messages that want to help solve our problems don't make us overload right? Completely wrong. There's this guy named Tolkien. You've probably heard of him. He wrote The Lord Of The Rings; a book that has around 1,000 pages or so and each page is jampacked with words. For some odd and unknown reason, so many marketers have taken inspiration from Tolkien. How? By deciding to make their messages Tolkien-sized. I don't think many people understand that us as humans like to consume bits of information at a time. So we can actually process and digest the information in front of us. Our brains hates being overloaded. This isn't even the worst part about it. TikTok brain is. We live in a day and age where people's attention span is absolutely terrible. Like really really bad. We can't focus on anything at all because we're constantly distracted. By extension, the second we see some Tolkien sized text in front of us, we're done. Nobody is going to even take a second to see what you have to say. They're just going to be like, "Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee." And they should. Because nobody owes you their time, and you have to make a decent effort to make them hooked on what you have to say. The best way? Tighten your messages up so that people could actually read what you have to say. If you live by the word, "Pithy," you'll already be ahead of the vast majority of people. Tolkien was a literal genius, but in marketing, he's your worst nightmare. Talk soon, Afzal P.S If you run a company that's doing revenue and want to run it better... We might be a good match.
